Gift cards
and vouchers
1. What a Kitcha gift card is
A prepaid balance that the holder can spend on Kitcha meals and plans. It is not a bank product, it earns no interest, and it is not a payment instrument outside Kitcha.
Flagged for legal review: prepaid and stored value may engage Central Bank of Nigeria requirements. Confirm before any gift card is sold.
2. Buying one
Gift cards are bought in Naira, in the amounts we offer at the time. We will send it to the email address you give us. Please check that address, because we cannot recover a card sent to the wrong person.
3. Redeeming
The recipient adds the code to their Kitcha Wallet. It can be spent across several orders. If an order costs more than the balance, the difference is payable normally.
4. Expiry
Gift cards are valid for 24 months from purchase. We will remind the holder before expiry where we have their email.
5. No cash alternative
Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and are not refundable once redeemed, except where the law requires it. An unredeemed card can be cancelled and refunded to the original purchaser within 14 days.
6. Lost or stolen
Treat it like cash. We can only replace an unredeemed card where you can evidence the original purchase.
7. Refunds on orders paid by gift card
Refunds go back to the Wallet as credit, not to a bank account, because that is where the money came from. Your rights under the service guarantee are otherwise unchanged.
8. Misuse
We may void a card obtained fraudulently or resold commercially without our agreement.
