Everyone should be
able to use this.
1. What we aim for
We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Feeding is not a luxury service and the site should not require good eyesight, a steady hand or a mouse.
2. What we actually test, on every change
Rather than claim conformance, here is the check we run before anything is published:
| Check | Standard applied |
|---|---|
| Colour contrast | 4.5:1 body text, 3:1 large text, measured on every element |
| Visible focus | Every link and button, driven by real Tab presses |
| Tap targets | Minimum 40px on mobile |
| Keyboard | Skip link, landmarks, no keyboard traps outside dialogs |
| Reduced motion | Animation stops for anyone who has asked their device to reduce it |
| Layout | No horizontal scrolling from 320px to 1440px |
| Images | Alt text present, decorative images marked as such |
3. Motion
The turning wheel on our homepage is decorative. It is driven by your scrolling rather than playing on its own, and it stops completely if your device is set to reduce motion.
4. What we know is not perfect yet
- We have not yet had an independent audit by a third party or by users of assistive technology.
- We have tested with keyboard navigation but not yet across every screen reader.
- Some legal documents are long. We are adding plain-language summaries.
5. Tell us if something does not work
If any part of this site blocks you, write to support@kitcha.ng with what you were trying to do. We treat it as a fault, not a feature request, and we will tell you when it is fixed.
If you cannot use the site at all and want to start a plan, email us and a person will set it up with you.
